UCAF – KUMF Gallery is offering Art Classes for Newcomers in a fun and supportive environment encouraging young artists the freedom to explore their potential, build confidence and strengthen self-esteem, and develop artmaking and critical thinking skills. Developing healthy communication skills and encouraging innovative thinking.

JANUARY – 16, 23, 30
Introductory lesson; safety regulations.
Free topic, “Winter mood” – pencils, markers.
“Carollers”, “Nativity scene”- acrylic, paper, canvas.
Mixing paints, obtaining the maximum number of shades.

FEBRUARY – 6, 13, 27
Graphic execution of “Trees in frost”, “Birds on a tree”.
Contrast of colours: “Meeting of winter and summer” – cold and warm range of colours

MARCH – 6, 13, 20, 27
Still life – paper, cardboard, dry pastel. The study of the media.
“Vytynanka” – one of the types of folk art.
“Tree of life”, “Easter egg motives” – coloured paper.

APRIL – 3, 17, 24
Making Easter eggs.
Study of Easter eggs varieties and types, “krashanky” – painted eggs, “drapanky” – scratched eggs. “Easter still life” – acrylic on canvas.

MAY – 1, 8, 15, 29
A variety of shapes and sizes.
“On the window and behind the window” – a still life of various objects on the windowsill.
A gift for mother – applique.
”Portrait of mother”. Studying the proportions of the face.
Subject and image. How to turn an object into an image, “Bird-spring”.

JUNE – 5, 12, 19, 26
Spectrum of tonal gradations, light and dark tones in nature.
Pencil drawing “Evening”, “Behind the mountains are mountains”.
A gift for father.
Final creative work – free topic, free media and technique.
Consolidation of what has been learned.
