Volodymyr Dibrova, PhD, born in 1951. Writer, translator, literary critic.
Author or 6 books of prose (novel Andrew’s Way, 2007, BBC Ukrainian Service Book of the Year award, and collections of short fiction) 3 books of plays. US publication – Peltse, Pentameron (1996, Northwestern University Press), On the Phone (a play), Ukrainian Literature, A Journal of Translations, Shevchenko Scientific Society of Canada, 2018.Translations of E. Ionesco, S. Beckett, H. D. Thoreau, E. Lear, K. Vonnegut and others into Ukrainian (Mykola Lukash 1991 Prize for the translation of Samuel Beckett’s Watt into Ukrainian)Affiliation – Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute, Media content specialist, and Preceptor at the Harvard University Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures, responsible for teaching various aspects of Ukrainian.Taught at Kyiv Linguistic University (Ukraine), Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Ukraine), Indiana University, Penn State University (Fulbright scholarship) and Harvard University.Research interests – Ukrainian and world literatures, cultural studies;Most recent publications:
