NOVEMBER 25 – 27, 2011
KUMF Gallery’s “Under the Christmas Tree”
A unique Holiday Bazaar of art & artisan-made crafts.
Each winter, the KUMF Gallery 2118-A Bloor St. West # 204 is transformed into a spectacular Christmas-themed marketplace. “The Gallery looks amazing! It was the most elegant Christmas Bazaar I have ever attended,” extolls Bob Leshchyshen.
Hand-painted ornaments, one-of-a-kind art, jewellery and ceramics share space with beautiful original art created by the Ukrainian Artist’s Guild USOM. Each artisan or vendor must go through a strict selection process. “We want original merchandise that is of the highest caliber”.
Beautiful design is not always expensive! Some of the most popular items at past bazaars were the wheat wreaths that sold for under $40.00, pure beesewax candles and “Nutty Hunny” walnuts in honey from the Rosewood Estates Meadery – special enough to serve at the most discerning dinner party!
Again this year the Bazaar will feature stone sculptures by Irene Sirko, highly decorative yet functional ceramics by Natalia Laluque and Victoria Ceramic and sculptural art glass by Andriy Petrovskyj.
As can be expected, jewellery also creates a great deal of interest! Offerings range from the practical to the antique by: Angel’s Wing, Atelier Ivaan, Baltic Bijoux, Diana Melnychenko and Myroslava Dubyk Sterling Silver.
Highlight November 25 (7-10pm), Novnovember 26 (10-6pm) and November 27(12—6pm) on your calendar and enjoy the unique artisan offerings at the KUMF Gallery
